Multi-Product Display for Best Buy
Otterbox was looking for an attractive, four-foot display to feature four of their top-selling mobile phone cases at Best Buy, including the Commuter, 3D Commuter, Defender, and Armor series. These displays would be placed in 132 Best Buy Mobile stores and would be next to the competition, so delivering a dynamic unit within the Best Buy Guidelines was pivotal to the program’s success.
TWM created a custom spinner system that allowed the cases to turn 170 degrees, showing both the interior and exterior of the four different series. The four spinner arms have lighted buttons that activate a video highlighting the selling features of that particular series on the screen. A faceplate was designed to reflect the series name, and inform consumers that the colors they are seeing on the cases were exclusive to Best Buy. An interactive technology component was added with a silent, attraction loop that draws potential customers to the display. An LED lighting fixture below the metal wedge illuminates the pegged product on the lower third of the display. A dimensional logo dresses the main graphic panel, and portions of the display are designed to be replaceable in anticipation of future product launches.
